It's so sad that I have to add to my original post but I refuse to sit around and watch a crooked company attempt to blackmail my father. Our company was hired to move a garage for 'The Butler Did It' and CEO customs with we later found out from the Harmarville police station that they had been evicted from. They only wanted to pay for a four hour minimum witch consists of three hours working and one hour traveling. This is not our rule, it's the law in PA and every moving company has to follow it. This law was explained to the customer several times before the move.
We arrived to the job at 1:10. So, they had until 3:10. We were able to make two trips in this time period. At 3:00 we had a few items left on the truck and we still needed to unload it. This unloading of the truck would have utilized the last 10 minutes. They asked if we could make another trip witch we explained we could but we would be going over the four hour minimum so it would cost more money. They did not want to pay anymore. So may dad, the owner of Calfo Red line, went in to collect he bill since we only had ten min left. He went into the office of The Butler Did It and the owner began swearing at my dad saying your wasteing F#+@ing time. Knowing we may not be getting paid my dad said ok at this time it might have been 3:05 which meant they had 5 mins left he came back to us unloading and said hold a few items in case they don't pay. He went back into the office at probably 3:15 now which is past the time they were paying for and tried a second time to collect the bill and again he was cursed at flicked off all by the owner, that is now saying he's not paying anything because I'm sure he didn't have enough to pay for the move. In the end we only received 500$ from his wife who had to be so embarrassed by her husband. Instead of fighting with them to get money they ovioisly didn't have, we closed up our truck and took the stuff back with us and put it in our storage for when they would like to pay their bill but now they got a storage fee on top of the original bill. The next day we saw that they had wrote all kinds of lies on all of our reciew boards. Not just the owner but he also got his employees to write bad reviews then told my dad he would only take them down if we paid him the 500 back and delivered his stuff we have in storage.
It is disheartening that an honest hard working business like ours has to deal with shady companies like The Butler did it and the CEO customs his sons company who was also there and is just as bad of a person as his father. But you don't know until you do the job and people tend not to show there true colors until the end of a job when it already to late to leave. I know people and businesses fall on hard times but you don't have to take other people down with you. Our company has been around since 1973 were on our third generation we can't please everyone but we do try. Just look up there company if u don't believe me they have about 4 reviews all from employees you can tell there the same people that left bad review for us and one lady that said they over charged her a ton. We have around 30 reviews and our only bad ones our from and ex employee and a crooked company that the harmmerville police station could not wait to get ride of. So please do your homework before seeing a bad review and know there are always two sides to a story.
